Hannah, a woman in her thirties, returns to her childhood home when her mother dies. It is 1975 in the remote countryside of Kentucky.
Revisiting the house she hasn't seen in many years, Hannah rediscovers the family conflicts of her childhood and relives her brother's runaway.
Hannah is a young woman in her 30' s, she has a warm unself-conscious and carefree personality.
She isn't much for fancy clothing nor jewelry, so she tends to wear simple and large clothing, much to her confort!
At first sight, the mother depicts the perfect housewife in the 50s: she is trendy and takes cares of the children and the house. But the truth is that she is a cold, scornful and harsh woman.
She is a firm believer and is afraid that her children might leave the "right path" according to her.
